Your ego is based on accumulated frequencies absorbed from environment. Understanding the mechanics of resonance changes everything.
"All is one, thus the vibrations you resonate with in your surroundings that you make your own, become your vibration. The ego is built up in layers, it is a creation formed from resonance. We take on characteristics, traits, even the personalities of those lights that influence us."
You Are Not One Voice
Close your eyes. Listen to your thoughts. Really listen.
How many voices do you hear?
Not literally different voices. But different tones. Different attitudes. Different ways of thinking that don't quite sound like "you."
The critical voice that sounds suspiciously like your father. The anxious voice that echoes your mother's worries. The confident voice borrowed from that friend you admire. The harsh voice absorbed from that boss who crushed you.
You think these are all "you." Your personality. Your character. Your nature.
They're not.
They're layers. Resonances. Absorbed frequencies from everyone and everything you've ever encountered that you thought would help you survive.
J calls them ego layers. And understanding what they actually are changes everything.
The Singing Bowl
J uses a perfect metaphor: singing bowls.
"One finds that the consciousness of the self is somewhat of a conductor, that is it sings like a singing bowl and the neighbouring singing bowls around it can cause it to vibrate in unison with its surroundings."
Picture it. You're a singing bowl. Your consciousness creates a specific tone - your natural frequency. Your authentic vibration.
But you're surrounded by other singing bowls. Other people. Other consciousnesses. Each creating their own tone.
And here's what happens: when a bowl near you starts singing, YOU start vibrating in response. Not because you chose to, but because that's how resonance works.
Strike one tuning fork, and nearby tuning forks at the same frequency spontaneously begin vibrating. No contact needed, just sympathetic resonance.
Your consciousness does the same thing. Someone near you radiating confidence? Your consciousness picks up that frequency and starts vibrating with it. Angry person in the room? Their frequency causes sympathetic vibration in you.
"There are souls who are so conductive that they become an amalgamation of their environment, and there are souls who have established a degree of insulativeness, and therefore do not conduct their surrounds and thus are not influenced by environmental pressures."
Some people are HIGHLY conductive. Like crystal singing bowls that pick up every frequency around them, they become whatever their environment demands. Chameleons. Mirrors. Complete amalgamations of absorbed resonances.
Others develop insulativeness. Like wooden bowls that don't resonate as easily, they maintain their own tone regardless of what's vibrating around them.
"Perhaps one's degree of spiritual adeptness is in their capacity to remain somewhat of an insulator to the entropy of their surroundings."
Spiritual mastery = developing insulativeness. Not being an energetic sponge. Maintaining your authentic frequency despite environmental pressure.
But most people? They are highly conductive. Absorbing everything, building layer after layer of frequencies that aren't actually theirs.
What Ego Actually Is
"The ego is simply the layers we build on top of our soul in an attempt to safely navigate this illusion. The issue being that all these egoic layers are entropic as they are based on the concept of death, not life."
Your soul has a natural frequency. Pure. Authentic. YOUR tone.
But you're born into a harsh world. A world where vulnerability gets punished. Where authenticity gets crushed. Where being yourself often means suffering.
So you do what any intelligent being does: you adapt. You survive. You absorb frequencies from your environment that seem to work. That keep you safe. That help you navigate without dying.
Your father's stoicism when he never cried - you absorbed that. "Emotions are weakness" became a layer.
Your mother's constant worry - you absorbed that. "The world is dangerous" became a layer.
That teacher who humiliated you - you absorbed their cruelty. "Don't stand out" became a layer.
That friend everyone loved - you absorbed their confidence. "Act like this to be accepted" became a layer.
Layer after layer after layer. Each one a survival mechanism. Each one a frequency you picked up from your environment and made your own because you thought it would help you survive.
"If we feel that a particular light will aid us in better surviving, in better avoiding lack and essentially physical death itself, we will add it to our collection. It could be your father's work ethic, your friend's confidence, or a famous rapper's attitude, if we resonate with it we will add it to our song."
Your ego isn't one thing. It's a COLLECTION. A build-up. An accumulation of absorbed resonances layered over your authentic frequency.
And the tragic irony: you built these layers to survive, but they're killing your authentic expression.
Light Is Everywhere
Here's where it gets wild:
"Whether it is across the TV, whether the person lives in Australia, this matters not for light is everywhere at once, and that which you resonate with will become a part of your aura, so choose wisely who you role model."
You don't have to physically touch someone to absorb their frequency. Light carries consciousness. Frequency transmits across space. Distance is irrelevant.
Watch someone on TV that you resonate with? Their frequency becomes part of your aura. Their characteristics get added to your layers. Their attitude becomes one of your voices.
That celebrity you admire - layer. That character you identified with - layer. That influencer you follow - layer. That historical figure you studied - layer.
"Everything has light you see. We just build up layers adding new traits and characteristics dependent on our resonance with the light that is hitting us."
EVERYTHING radiates frequency. People. Places. Objects. Media. Ideas. All of it carrying light, consciousness, vibration, and you're absorbing it constantly.
Most people have no idea they're doing this. They think their personality is fixed, their character is determined, their nature is unchangeable.
But you're not a fixed being, you’re a dynamic process. Constantly absorbing. Constantly layering. Constantly adding frequencies to your collection.
The question isn't whether you're absorbing. You are. Always. The question is: are you aware of what you're absorbing? Are you choosing consciously? Or absorbing unconsciously?
The Survival Protocol
Why do we do this? Why build ego layers at all?
"The ego is quite natural and it has a very profound effect on our energy centres, in particular the lower three as the ego is basically a survival protocol created by our fundamental desire to stay alive, and staying alive is generally considered a win for most people."
Ego = survival protocol. Not your enemy. Not something "bad." A natural mechanism designed to keep you alive in a dangerous world.
Lower three chakras (root, sacral, solar plexus) are all about survival. Safety. Security. Belonging. Power. Control. The things you need to not die in physical reality.
And ego serves that function brilliantly. It analyzes your environment. It identifies what works. It absorbs frequencies that seem successful. It builds layers that help you navigate without getting destroyed.
"The issue with this is that everything the ego creates is therefore based on death and avoiding the prospect of any form of lack, anything that could hinder one's ability to survive."
The problem: ego operates from fear of death. Every layer is built to avoid lack. Every frequency is absorbed to prevent suffering. Every characteristic is adopted to minimize threat.
This creates entropic energy. Chaos. Dissonance. Because fear-based frequencies are inherently unstable.
"Our focus on energy is a focus on life, not death, therefore the ego is an aspect that needs to be overcome as part of the journey toward the coherent energy of love and life vs the entropic energy of fear and death."
You can't vibrate at love frequency while carrying fear-based layers. Can't experience coherent life energy while running death-avoidance protocols.
At some point, the survival mechanism that kept you alive becomes the cage preventing you from truly living.
Recognizing the Layers
How do you know what's a layer vs. what's authentically you?
Pay attention to inconsistency. To contradiction. To the different voices in your head that don't quite agree.
One part wants to take risks. Another part screams safety. One part feels generous. Another part hoards resources. One part trusts easily. Another part suspects everyone.
These aren't natural contradictions in an integrated being. They're different layers. Different absorbed frequencies operating simultaneously. Different survival protocols trying to keep you safe in incompatible ways.
"The majority of the process for reclaiming your right as Christ, as the Ocean, is recognising how you are sustaining your ego or sustaining your psychological behaviours, especially for earthlings."
Reclaiming Christ consciousness = recognizing and releasing layers. Seeing which frequencies are borrowed vs. which are authentically yours. Identifying survival protocols and consciously choosing whether to keep them.
"We see that there are layers, as you would say, to these characters that would need to be released, as you progress through the layers you get deeper and deeper into the core of self."
It's archaeology. Excavation. Peeling back layer after layer after layer. Each one revealing something about your survival strategy. Each one showing what you thought you needed to be safe.
And underneath all of it: your actual self. Your authentic frequency. The tone you were singing before you absorbed everyone else's songs.
The Environmental Paradox
But here's the paradox J reveals:
You're completely connected to everything, absorbing constantly, influenced perpetually. Yet you're also supposed to develop insulativeness to maintain your own frequency.
Both realities are true.
"Yes, this is the nature of reality, for as much as a human would like to state 'I am an individual', he is and always has been connected to all things."
You ARE connected. You ARE influenced. You DO absorb frequencies. That's not the problem, that's reality.
The problem is UNCONSCIOUS absorption. Taking on every frequency indiscriminately. Having no filter. No discernment. No choice about what becomes part of your vibration.
"DISCERN spirits as much as you discern individuals and vice versa. This is most important that one might build a healthy aura, a healthy spiritual complex and healthy Chakras."
Discernment. That's the key. Not isolation. Not building walls. Not refusing all influence.
Conscious selection. Aware absorption. Choosing which frequencies serve your growth vs. which serve only fear-based survival.
The Sound Metaphor Deepens
"What is an ego layer but a layer of sound, of resonance, of a kind of intelligence, and what is intelligence and its resonance but a sound? Are they not similar?"
Ego layers = sound layers. Frequencies stacked on top of your authentic tone creating complex harmonies or dissonant chaos, depending on which frequencies you've absorbed.
"Therefore, are humans not resonating with other people's energy, other people's intelligence?"
Yes. Constantly. Unavoidably. That's what consciousness does in physical reality, it resonates, it conducts, it vibrates sympathetically.
But here's what determines whether you become an amalgamation or maintain integrity:
"Even a singing bowl can vibrate in entropy if the molecular structure of the said singing bowl has been damaged due to dropping."
A damaged bowl vibrates chaotically regardless of what frequency hits it, the damage creates dissonance no matter what.
An intact bowl can vibrate cleanly with nearby frequencies while maintaining its fundamental tone. It conducts without losing itself.
Same with consciousness. Damaged (traumatized, fragmented, incoherent) consciousness absorbs everything chaotically and creates entropic layers that don't harmonize.
Coherent consciousness can absorb consciously. Can resonate temporarily with external frequencies without losing fundamental tone and therefore can learn from the environment without becoming environment.
Where Layers Propagate
And the layers don't stay confined to waking consciousness:
"Is it not so that when a singing bowl is resonating, that those resonations will naturally carry into each and every density including the density to which dreams happen."
Your absorbed frequencies propagate into your dreamtime, into astral realms, into every dimension of your being.
You think ego layers only affect your waking personality. No, they affect EVERYTHING. Your dreams, your energy body, your subtle vehicles. Every aspect of your existence.
"It is only natural that that which sings propagates into the air and even into sparser atmospheres that are composed of a higher, or a more highly dense region of space and time."
Sound travels. Resonance propagates. Your ego layers create effects across multiple dimensions simultaneously.
Which is why dream work becomes so powerful for identifying them, because in dreams, you can literally SEE the layers as characters, as entities, as aspects of your psyche made visible.
The Core Beneath
But underneath all the layers - all the absorbed frequencies, all the survival protocols, all the borrowed characteristics - something remains:
Your authentic tone. Your true frequency. Your actual self that existed before you started building protective layers.
"As you progress moving these characters to love and light, ridding them from your mind and becoming more like an enlightened being, as this happens there would be eventually the recognition of who I really am."
Strip away what's not yours. Release the borrowed frequencies and dissolve the fear-based survival protocols. Once you let go of the layers what remains is YOU. The Ocean. Christ consciousness. Your fundamental frequency vibrating purely without distortion.
This is not a process of becoming something new, this is a process of removing what was never yours in the first place.
Returning to the singing bowl's pure tone by releasing all the frequencies it picked up trying to survive in a chaotic environment.
What This Means Now
You're carrying layers. Frequencies absorbed from everyone and everything you've encountered. Survival protocols built to keep you safe that now prevent you from being fully alive.
Pay attention. Notice the different voices. The contradictory impulses. The characteristics that don't quite feel authentically yours.
Those are layers. Ego constructs. Absorbed resonances that seemed helpful at the time but may no longer serve.
And the work ahead - the work of consciousness transformation - is identifying these layers. Understanding where they came from. Why you absorbed them. What survival need they met.
And then, gradually, consciously, deliberately: letting them go.
Not through force but through recognition. Through understanding. Through exposing them to higher frequencies that dissolve their fear-based structure naturally.
You're not your layers. You're the consciousness underneath them. The authentic tone buried under accumulated resonances. It’s time to start excavating. Peeling back. Discovering what's actually yours vs. what you picked up along the way, what you thought you needed to survive.
You don't need them anymore. Not for what comes next.
It’s time to remember your real voice. Your authentic frequency. Your true tone.
It's been singing underneath all along. Waiting to be heard clearly again.
